01 Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Kalma app ("Kalma", "the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of Kalma, including guests, registered users, and premium subscribers.
02 Eligibility
Kalma is available to users of all ages. If you are under the age of 13, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf before you use the app.
If you are using Kalma on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
03 Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:
Provide accurate information when creating your account
Keep your password secure and not share it with others
Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
Not create multiple accounts to circumvent access restrictions or bans
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
04 Subscriptions & Billing
Kalma Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription purchased through the Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal
Billing: Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your Google Play account settings. Access to premium features continues until the end of the current billing period
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy
Price changes: We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes take effect at the next renewal and will be communicated to you in advance
Free tier: Guest users and registered basic users may access Kalma without a subscription, subject to content and feature restrictions described in the app.
05 Acceptable Use
You agree to use Kalma only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or our systems
Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service
Reproduce, resell, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission
Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of these rules without prior notice.
06 Content & Intellectual Property
All content within Kalma — including but not limited to audio recordings, guided sessions, visualisations, journey content, app design, and text — is owned by or licensed to Kalma and protected by copyright law.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Kalma content without our explicit written permission.
You retain ownership of any personal data you provide. By using the Service, you grant us the right to use this data as described in our Privacy Policy.
07 Disclaimers
Kalma is a wellness and mindfulness tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The content in Kalma — including breathing exercises, soundscapes, and guided sessions — is intended for general wellness and stress reduction purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.
Important: If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or medical emergency, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency services immediately.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
08 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kalma and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
09 Termination
You may stop using Kalma at any time and delete your account through the app settings. On account deletion, all your personal data will be removed from our servers within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Kalma at any time, with or without notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms.
On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
10 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the app.
Continued use of Kalma after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Kalma will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
